Announcing
MC DMS |
MC DMS (Document
Management System) is an exciting new module available as part of the MCMS
suite of application software. MC DMS provides the capability to
electronically store and retrieve any document associated with your business
directly from within your MCMS applications. This capability will eventually
include documents created both internally by MCMS like sales orders,
confirmations, purchase orders, invoices, and customer authorized shippers,
as well as externally generated documents like vendor quotes and invoices,
company procedural manuals, customer part drawings, and so on.
Since among the
many capabilities of MC DMS is the flexibility to index documents using several user-defined reference points, the possibilities for
streamlining your document management and work flow processes are many.
As one example of
these capabilities, you may wish to store customer signed delivery receipts
in a file indexed by customer and order number. Whenever a customer requires
proof of delivery, it can be retrieved using a hotkey (so as not to
interrupt the current job function) and then printed, faxed or emailed
directly from within the hotkey window.
In addition, if
you are the type of company that has inside and outside processing
requirements for customer orders or “jobs”, here is another example of what
MC DMS can do. You may store all of the documents associated with a “job”
like the customer’s purchase order and part drawing, your work order/pick
ticket, your purchase orders for any outside processing, the shipper and any
transfer documents, the outside processor’s invoice, your invoice, etc., in
a customer “job” file for review or reproduction, as needed.
One of the key
benefits of MC DMS is the ability to allow access to business critical
documents by anyone on your local or wide-area network, on demand in a
matter of seconds. You can view a shipper to see who signed off on the
receipt, e-mail a part drawing directly to an outside processor, verify an
internal procedure manual, or request a credit application be faxed to the
hot prospect you have on the phone.
By providing this
type of real-time document access, the time spent on document handling type
tasks like finding, copying, and re-filing documents will be significantly
reduced, thus lowering internal costs while providing more time for business
generating activities.
Compusource is
very pleased to announce the availability of MC DMS at this time. For more
information and system requirements, current customers should contact your
salesperson. Faxing and emailing capabilities require additional software.
All other inquiries on MC DMS or any other MCMS application can be made by
emailing info@compusource.com or by calling one of our offices.

NEW MCMS MODULE FOR LINEAR CUTTING OPTIMIZATION:
'MC Mult' |
Compusource is pleased to announce the release of MC Mult, a new
software product designed to assist companies that cut linear items (e.g.
beam, tubing, angle, bar, etc.) to customer specified lengths.
This new module integrates with the MCMS (Metal Center
Management System) quote and order entry modules, as well as
the inventory control module to provide a cutting list that will optimize
the use of current inventory and/or purchased material as specified by the
user.
Chris Vangel, president of Steel Cities Steels in Burns Harbor, IN quotes
“We took a job one of our customers gave us requiring cutting over 4000
pieces into 17 different lengths. Multing this by hand took over 4 hours
and we came up with 1.8% scrap. MC Mult, did it in about 2 minutes,
with 1.3% scrap. Since this new product interfaces directly with the quote
and ordering process, it will help us know quickly what our costs will be on
cutting jobs, which should allow us to better utilize our stock, and quote
accurately.”

LEVERAGE
THE POWER OF THE INTERNET WITH OUR LATEST RELEASE:
'MC NET/E-mail' |
Now you can leverage the power of the Internet with our
latest release, MC Net/E-mail. MC Net/E-mail is the first in a suite of MCMS Internet
products that leverage your MCMS enterprise software and your Internet presence to
streamline business processes. This product will add electronic mail as an efficient and
inexpensive way of providing MCMS generated documents to your business partners.
Features and Benefits
E-mail MCMS forms (e.g. purchase orders, quotations, mill test reports, etc.) on
demand, from the MCMS software.
MCMS forms can be sent as text (no graphics) in the body of the e-mail, or an add-on
conversion tool will allow the forms to be sent as PDF attachments which include logos and
other graphics. The receiver of the PDF document will require Adobe Acrobat Reader to open
the form.
MCMS forms can be e-mailed one at a time or, when
interfaced with the MC Forms and MC Fax products, can be formatted to e-mail, print and
fax automatically, based on your business partners requirements.
Upcoming MC Net products:
MC Net/File Transfer

using direct file transfer. This enables the web site to periodically deliver information
(e.g. order status) from the MCMS system directly to your web site, and retrieve
information from the web site entered by the customer.
MC Net/Direct Data Exchange provides a direct connection between the MCMS
data and the user's web site. This allows customers direct access through the web site to
retrieve and/or update information on the MCMS server.

YOUR OWN FORMS WITH NEW MCMS MODULE:
'MC FORMS' |
Compusource is pleased to announce the availability of MC
Forms, the latest offering in the MCMS software suite. MC Forms
provides the capability to print forms to laser printers, and much more. Using MC
Forms could save your company money by using plain paper and laser printers
instead of using expensive pre-printed forms. In addition, MC Forms
can help significantly reduce the overall paper generated by your operation.
Now you can create your own forms with Windows compatible
products (e.g. MS Word, Corel Draw, etc.). Logos can be scanned in and formatted as
desired. Define multiple pages of a document to print different information on each page. MC
Forms interfaces with the MC Fax and MC Net/E-mail products, to allow
documents to automatically be printed, faxed and/or e-mailed. For example, a completed
quote could print and e-mail; or if no e-mail address is available it could print and fax,
all without any user intervention.
In addition, MC Forms allows multiple
printers to print copies of the same form. For example, a sales order could print the
"customer copy" and "delivery copy" in the warehouse, and the
"sales copy" to the sales office.
For more information on MC Forms or any
of the MCMS products developed by Compusource Corporation please contact Brian David at

ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF
'MC FAB' |
La Palma, CA: Compusource Corporation is proud to announce the
release of "MC Fab", the latest module in the MCMS suite of
application software. MC Fab is a powerful new tool developed to assist salespeople
in quoting/selling virtually any shape definable by an equation, making the process of
quoting and/or selling fabricated parts much faster and easier than previously possible.
MC Fab allows the entry of fabrication information
including the entry of shapes other than rectangles. For each shape the system calculates
the actual and billing weight per piece.
MC Fab uses this information to calculate the sales/quote
totals. The fab weight as well as the dimension description is available to print on
forms, reports and inquiries. This module significantly reduces the time it takes to
prepare a quote/sales order.
The MC Fab module is now available and, if you would like
to receive free information on this time saving module or any of the MCMS
products developed by Compusource Corporation, please contact Brian David at 714/522-8300
for details.
