C2 File, the latest module in CONTRAC2, an exciting new product which provides a simple way to furnish a customer with copies of the original field paperwork by e-mail or fax. It also eliminates the need to file paperwork in more than one location. It is especially useful for companies that have branch offices running, since now all locations will have instant access to original paperwork. This can be extra helpful in furnishing paperwork to a customer that is posing a collection problem. It also provides for a simple way for management to review unusual work.

C2 File enables you to scan documents such as invoices, service orders and work orders. While entering work order information, a single keystroke will launch a pop-up window containing the current work order, service order and invoice numbers. The operator hits the scan key and the scanner attached to that workstation will scan the field paperwork. The program provides for single or multiple-page scans for each work order.

C2 File also has the capability to do scanning in a batch mode. Just enter the work order numbers and the system will retrieve the other key fields.

Job Cost documents such as progress-billing invoices related to a job can also be scanned. The key fields would be job, customer, and invoice numbers. C2 File gives you the capability to scan virtually anything related to any of these items. Now job cost customers can scan copies of their contract billing invoices and keep them on the system.

Documents scanned can be retrieved by any C2 File client attached to the system by entering any of the fields, and if there is more than one document, C2 File allows you to browse through them and select the correct item. The document can then be viewed, printed, e-mailed or faxed, if the system has the correct software.
